The fact that insurance does not reimburse for this service is unfortunate but true. I have patients get their initial lab panel covered through their insurance. If your deductible is paid you will generally have the lab covered.

Women generally require 2-4 pellets every 3-5 months. The cost of the treatment is no more that a Starbucks coffee every day.

I believe that our treatment is far superior to gels and creams. It is a bargain compared to poor health costs and lost productivity.

When I have a patient who has had a blood clot, I order a blood panel specific for clotting risk to determine If the blood clot was an “accident” that would have happened to anyone, whether they took estrogen or not, OR if the patient has a genetic disorder that puts her at risk for blood clots. If the patient has a genetic disorder, I would generally avoid estradiol in any form. The good news is that at Biobalance Heath, we also use testosterone pellets which provide relief of many of the symptoms that deprivation of estrogen causes.

Testosterone does not cause blood clots.
