Why BioBalance Skin Care products are more effective than other products.

I created my skin care products because I was dissatisfied with all other non-prescription products on the market. I found them expensive, ineffective, with terrible odors and confusing to buy. My response to dilemmas like this has always been to create a better product or treatment than anyone else. I did that with BioBalance Skin Care and my reverse-aging practice BioBalance Health.

First let me assure you that I have tried products from the exclusive spas in the U.S. and in Europe, “natural” products and the high-end products made by large cosmetic firms. I tried products in spas in Portugal, Spain, Germany, Hawaii, Italy, South America, Sicily, and Belize. I really did my homework, and for me, this is my passion as well as an intellectual pursuit!

After reviewing the active ingredients in thousands of products, I determined which ones actually transform skin and which ones are for show. I made a list of what my products should include, and the qualities I desired to assure they are superior. These qualities are:

How my BioBalance Skin Care line was created is an interesting story, and one that I think was assisted by fate.

In 2006 I was on the Board of Aeterna Medical Spa. We used popular products before and after our treatments, but nothing that actually improved the outcomes for most of our patients. We did have a line products invented by doctors, but they smelled terrible and they literally didn’t work for people over 40; most of our patients.

I went on a search for a lab that would formulate products for us based on the criteria I listed above. None of the dermatologists or plastic surgeons on the Aeterna board had an interest or the expertise to choose an appropriate line, and then add the active ingredients I desired that would improve skin texture and health, especially for people who just had laser and IPL treatments.

I finally found Halina-Andre, a lab in Austin Texas, that was owned by and old friend of mine. The story of that business was an amazing one, indeed! Halina, an esthetician, and her husband, Andre, a chemist at University of Texas, Austin, began making products in their kitchen for Halina’s customers. They had immigrated from Germany, after being prisoners in Auschwitz, during World War II. They came to America for a new life and began their collaboration to make better products than could be found on the market anywhere.

Halina told Andre what she wanted for her esthetic clients and he created it. They then found they had compiled a large and outstanding collection of formulations, so they formed their business and began to sell these botanical products based on chemistry and esthetics, to high-end spas.

When I was introduced to their products, they had retired and sold their business to Scott Sims, a Missouri native and a friend from University of Missouri. Scott allowed me to not only private label these amazing formulations, but he also allowed me to add herbs, vitamins and other natural elements that made them even more effective!
